My 1 Year Old Daughter Masterbaits

History of the labor movement do we need the social

Part of the letter to Willy Brandt, Bruno Kreisky, March 17, 1972:

Democratic socialism is a liberation movement. The working-class struggle for liberation found its organizational expression in the labor movement. This fight had several aspects: it was mainly to increase production, making it more effective and organized differently "Equally important was to achieve a fairer distribution of social product through appropriate legislation, tax policy and In short, a set of social measures and policies to ensure greater security and equal rights for all citizens. But the desire for freedom come even further. The working class wants to get rid of the oppression exerted on it through the capitalist control of economic power. Demoracia make possible in all areas of society and to replace the simple exercise of power by democratic forms of work organization and community was, and remains, the core of democratic socialism. Conservative parties are willing to walk with us a part of this journey, but because their positions are based on a liberal-capitalist ideology, they can not want to intervene in the economic life of society, even when security and full employment of its citizens require, often, that intervention.

Our struggle, democratic socialism, for democracy in all spheres of society means that, unlike the conservatism, we must represent a positive, optimistic man. Conservatism sees man as a creature to be controlled in different ways by an elite in power, the hierarchy of class society. The social and economic stratification is used as a means to exercise that control. In our opinion, this leads to a minimization of the individual, limits their ability to conduct and prevents the formation and the entrenchment of a genuine community within society. Of course, democratic socialism is also an ideology that poses certain requirements, required to increase self-reliance and communal, the common good, to be placed in the foreground. As an ideology requires above all a great solidarity, because only through it can man be master of his own destiny and build for the future. Otherwise, the man will see how that future will configure anonymous forces, technocrats or power structures.
