continue with the previous post of the first 737 of Aerolineas Argentinas.
The original contract of six 737-287 aircraft, which were delivered during 1970, 2 August 1971 it was extended for two additional units, bringing the fleet to 8 aircraft.

The October 12, 1971 came from the factory the seventh plane, LV-JTD .

Both aircraft carried during the war, 6,500 soldiers and 270 tons of cargo. They made 89 flights on 92 under (a 98% effective) and operated in Port Stanley on a runway only 1,250 feet, with a generally adverse climate. If something was missing this noble plane, was to end its operational life become "business jet" ("Executive Jet").


The Boeing 737 LV-JTO was the eighth air , delivered on December 23, 1971 .


This color photo of the late 90's you can see the LV-JTO off from AER, with 29 years of operational service.
The ninth aircraft was received Boeing 737 LV-LEB the November 22, 1973 . As you can read above in the brief of LV-JTD, both aircraft had the out-standing involvement Airlift Malvinas from the cities of Rio Gallegos and Comodoro Rivadavia, developed during April 1982.
